What We Offer

Cavity Check

Oral Assessment/ Oral Cancer Screening

The initial visit includes a comprehensive dental hygiene exam. The hygienist will go through your medical and dental history and assessments of your oral self-care Collected information will be discussed with you to prepare a treatment plan based on your needs, along with personal goals to help achieve them. Oral Cancer screening is done alongside the initial assessments, we educate and teach clients how to perform the screening at home to help with early detection. Oral Cancer is the 13th most diagnosed cancer in Canada and can often be found on the lips, tongue, gums, and cheeks or deeper in the jaw. Regular screening will help to check for any abnormalities.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride treatments help prevent tooth decay and sensitivity by strengthening the enamel of the teeth and aiding in the re-mineralization process. We offer fluoride in the form of a Varnish, which we paint onto the teeth like nail paint. The varnish comes in a variety of flavors, so you can choose the flavor to your liking.

Dental Sealants for Children

Dental Sealants are thin plastic coatings placed over the chewing surfaces of back teeth to protect them from developing cavities. This coating bonds into the crevices and grooves (pits and fissures) of the teeth surfaces making them smooth and much easier to clean when brushing. It helps to keep food and plaque from getting trapped in those spaces.

Scaling and Root Planning

Scaling and Root planning is another term for deep cleaning. The process consists of removing soft (plaque) and hard (tartar) deposits from the teeth, both above and below the gum line. We use hand instruments and an ultrasonic scaler. The build-up of plaque and tartar can lead to Gingivitis and Periodontitis, further leading to tooth loss. Removal of plaque and tartar will help to eliminate bacteria build-up, which will aid in the maintenance of healthy gum and teeth

Polishing & Stain Removal

Selective dental polishing, also known as prophylaxis is done to remove any extrinsic stains that accumulate on the surface of the teeth from foods and drinks we consume. The purpose is to leave the surface of teeth clean so bacteria are unable to stick to them, giving you a better chance of keeping your teeth clean during your regular oral self-care.

Teeth Whitening

Our clinic provides two types of whitening; In office and take-home kits.  Depending on the type of whitening, maintenance procedures will vary. Avoiding cloured food and your teeth are well maintained, they will remain white for a long period of time.
